Overview
This page summarizes how EraserImg protects your images and your account data. It is a plain language companion to our full Privacy Policy.
How images are handled
When you use a tool on this site or through our API your image is sent to our processing server only to complete the action you asked for. It sits in temporary memory for the time needed to process it and is discarded right after. We do not permanently store your images and we do not sell or share them with outside parties.
Encryption in transit
All traffic between your browser and our servers travels over encrypted HTTPS so nobody in between can read it. We also apply modern browser security headers across the site including strict transport security and content type protection to reduce the risk of common web attacks.
Account & password security
Passwords are never stored in plain text. They pass through a one way hashing and salting process before being saved so even our own team cannot see your actual password. Your session relies on a secure signed cookie and logging out or regenerating your API key immediately invalidates the old credentials.
Database access
Your account data lives in an access controlled encrypted database that only our authenticated backend services can reach and that is never open to the public. We do not publish or expose the internal systems that power this site.
No AI training on your data
We never use your images or your conversations with our chat assistant to train any AI model.
GDPR & compliance
You do not need an account to use a tool on this site, so no personal data is collected for that. Where we do hold personal data, such as for an account or a support request, we follow GDPR friendly practices around what we collect, how long we keep it, and your right to have it deleted.
