1. Images You Upload

When you use any tool on this website or through our API the image you upload is sent to our processing server only to complete the action you asked for such as background removal a filter conversion or upscaling. We do not permanently store your images. Files sit in temporary memory only for the time needed to process them and are discarded right after. We never use your images to train any AI model and we never sell or share them with outside parties.

Using the tools directly on the website does not require an account. You can upload an image and download the result without signing up.

2. Accounts & Personal Data

An account is only needed if you want an API key to call our tools from your own app or website. You can create an account by signing in with Google, by signing in with Facebook, or by registering with an email address and a password.

When you create an account we store the following:

  • Your email address from Google or Facebook, or the one you register with
  • If you sign in with Facebook, we request only basic profile information from Meta: your name, your email address, and your profile picture. We do not request or store any other Facebook data
  • A securely hashed and salted password if you sign up with email and password. We never store your plain text password
  • Your API key and API usage statistics such as request counts and timestamps
  • Your current plan its status and its expiry date
  • Billing records if you purchase a paid plan including the plan name the amount the date and the payment provider transaction id. We do not store your card number. That part is handled entirely by our payment processor Paddle

If you use the Help widget without creating an account we assign an anonymous visitor id through a browser cookie so we can reply to your message and recognize you on a return visit. This id is not linked to your real identity unless you go on to create an account.

Using tools directly on the website comes with a free allowance of 40 tool uses every 12 hours, shown as the tokens ring in the navbar. To enforce this fairly we track your IP address together with your account id (or anonymous visitor id if you are not signed in). This tracking is used only to apply the usage allowance and to detect abuse, and it resets automatically every 12 hours.

We do not sell your personal data or account information to any third party.

3. How We Keep Your Data Secure

Once you create an account protecting your information matters to us. Here is how we do it:

  • All traffic between your browser and our servers travels over encrypted HTTPS so nobody in between can read it
  • Passwords are never stored in plain text. They pass through a one way hashing and salting process before being saved so even our own team cannot see your actual password
  • Your account data lives in an access controlled encrypted database that only our authenticated backend services can reach and that is never open to the public
  • Your session relies on a secure signed cookie. Logging out or regenerating your API key immediately invalidates the old credentials
  • We apply modern browser security headers across the site including strict transport security and content type protection to reduce the risk of common web attacks
  • We do not publish or expose the internal systems that power this site. Only the account details listed above are collected and used

No system is completely free of risk but these practices exist so your data stays protected both while moving between systems and while stored after you log in.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in after you log in and a separate anonymous cookie to recognize returning visitors who use our Help widget or opt into push notifications without creating an account. We also use standard analytics and advertising tools including Google Analytics and Google AdSense to understand site usage and to show ads. This site is built to work within Google AdSense and Google's publisher policies. These tools may collect information such as your IP address your browser type your device information and the pages you visit. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Google uses advertising cookies so it and its partners can serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites and you can opt out through Google Ads Settings.

5. AI Chat Assistant

This site offers an AI chat assistant, available from the chat icon in the corner of the screen and on our Contact page, to answer questions about plans, pricing, your account, credits, and how our tools work. Messages you send to the assistant are processed by a third-party AI provider to generate a reply and are automatically screened to keep the chat on topic and free of abuse. We do not use these conversations to train any AI model, and we do not sell or share them with advertisers.

From time to time a real member of our team may step into an ongoing chat to help directly. When that happens the assistant pauses and you are told a person has joined.

6. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following outside services to run EraserImg:

  • Google OAuth for signing in with Google
  • Facebook Login (Meta OAuth) for signing in with Facebook
  • A secure encrypted cloud database for storing account API key and usage records
  • Paddle our payment processor for handling paid plan purchases and billing
  • OneSignal for delivering push notifications to visitors who choose to enable them
  • Google Analytics and Google AdSense for site analytics and advertising
  • A third-party AI provider for generating replies in the chat assistant
  • Our own hosting and processing servers for running the image processing tools

Each of these providers keeps its own privacy policy that governs how it handles data on our behalf.

7. Data Retention & Deletion
